Al Mayadeen  is a shelved news channel, which first aired on June 11, 2012 from the Lebanon. The message sender intends to reduce the influence of the popular Arab news channels Al Jazeera and Al Arabiya, both news channels were established by Arab Gulf States.

Ghassan bin Jiddo is the Director of Al Mayadeen TV station. He was the Director Al Jazeera in the Iran and Beirut, and headed a popular talk show.

He left the channel Al Jazeera, financed by Qatar in 2011 due to the coverage of the transmitter about the conflict in Syria. The message sender has a network of journalists in the Palestinian territories in Gaza, Ramallah and Jerusalem.

Al Mayadeen is a pan-Arab satellite broadcaster launched on 11 June 2012 in Lebanon. Al Mayadeen channel focuses on reducing the influence of Al Jazeera and Al Arabiya, which two stations be accused the political opinions of Qatar and Saudi Arabia respectively.

The channel is part of Al Mayadeen network, which among other things a production company, radio station, website and an advertising agency content.

Al Mayadeen owners of the channel are anonymous Arab businessmen. Al Mayadeen the headquarters of the Canal is in Beirut. It has three regional offices, one in Tunisia, another in Cairo with three reporters and a large studio, and a third in Tehran.
